Introuducing: Vinny Del Negro

According to K.C. Johnson at the Chicago Tribune, Vinny Del Negro has been signed by the Bulls to be the head coach through the 2010-11 season with a team option for a third year. This move comes as sort of a surprise with Avery Johnson and Dwane Casey still in the mix, as VDN has no previous coaching experience. Del Negro has a talk task ahead of him early on; he needs to get a team that greatly underachieved last season back into the playoffs, and probably needs to advance at least to the second round to keep his job secure for the 2nd year of his contract. But look on the bright side, VDN, you do have your pick of Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley. The Bulls and VDN will hold a Press Conference @ 2:oo p.m. CST at the United Center on Wednesday, June 11.
