Urlacher's Unexpected Appearance

Mike Mulligan of the Chicago Sun-Times has a good article up today that speaks of positive news in Bear Nation (something we've not heard too much of in quite some time). First off, Brian Urlacher showed up to the OTA's yesterday, a move that was more than unexpected due to the contract disputes between him and the team. This was thought to be done as a "goodwill gesture" from Urlacher, possibly trying to open up the lines of communication. This appears to be a very smart move by Brian; taking the high road when it's possible.

Alex Brown had a great quote about Urlacher. When he was asked what it meant to have Urlacher in camp, he responded, ''It's like [asking] what does it mean to have gas in the car?'' Brown said. ''It ain't going to go unless the gas is in the car. He's the man, and it's great to have him out here.''

Also good news reported by Mulligan, player's agent Drew Rosenhaus (who represents Tommie Harris) showed his face around Halas Hall last yesterday, presumably to discuss an extension for the big DT.
