White Sox wait out Dodgers, sign Loaiza

More Rosenthal. The Dodgers had a deal in mind to trade the well-traveled Esteban Loaiza to the White Sox for Juan Uribe, but Kenny Williams balked at the idea of having to split the difference of the two contracts. Instead, the Dodgers recently released Loaiza, who was signed by the South Side at the pro-rated minimum, a move that allows them to keep trade-chip Uribe under their control. Another smart move from Kenny Williams.
