Okay, we know now that Brett Favre wants to come back, and the Packers don't really want him back. I understand this from the Packers' point-of-view in the sense that they have committed to Aaron Rodgers and have tried to move forward. What I don't understand is how Green Bay's Exec.'s can honestly think this is the best thing for the franchise! Brett Favre, at 38 years of age, is twice the quarterback that Aaron Rodgers is ever going to become.
With that out of the way, we move on to Favre saying he wants an outright release from the Packers. This is more than interesting with the Train Wreck of QB's we plan on trotting out there next year. Favre likes the North, the NFC-N is a division he could almost win on his own, and the Bears need a QB. I will say I could never see Favre in any uniform other than the Packers' green and gold, but then, I never saw him asking for a release, either...
