-- Jeff Samardzija was called up by the Cubs. We've been monitoring his progress, and he showed he's got the potential to be above average in this league with a 1-2-3 9th inning save against the Marlins today. Jon Lieber and Scott Eyre may be dealt if Lou thinks Jeff can stay in the majors.
-- Buster Olney says the White Sox are looking for relief help. They need it, and it is slim pickin's out right now. I expect to hear their name mentioned more often in the Brian Fuentes sweepstakes, but I don't see him being a huge lift to the club.
